Bart,

There was no formal call for candidates.

I recall on internal emails between us five, Mathieu volunteering, being seconded at least by Mr Meijer and at least two of us (me included) mentioning that we are not interested. I could not be bothered to dig this up as it is a done deal.

I would agree that Mathieu is/was the only candidate, and it's Council's prerogative anyway who to appoint, and what process to use, but your below email tries to create the impression the process was transparent.

This is clearly not the case. And THAT is of concern to me.

As stated in my email the appointment was done by the ccNSO Council,
which, according to the charter and in its capacity of chartering
organization, may appoint a co-chair. The appointment by the Council was
done by an email-vote.
