Malcolm, Kavouss, Steve, all,
thanks for raising these questions. The four area groups launched after our first meeting are intended to kick off work, but certainly not to restrict scope. Any relevant input regarding Icann's accountability is appropriate to consider at this stage.

We have initiated a collection of relevant documentation, including general accountability documentation and stakeholder expectations regarding Icann in our wiki : https://community.icann.org/display/acctcrosscomm/Group+Uploaded+Resources <https://community.icann.org/display/acctcrosscomm/Group+Uploaded+Resources>

It is currently far from exhaustive, but I would encourage you and any other on this list to share their inputs.

Any colleague* on the list is encouraged to raise issues he or she finds relevant on the list, ideally through providing relevant documentation and we will ensure that we build a more comprehensive view of our scope.

For example, Mr Arasteh, I know you have great experience also in other organisations outside Icann, so your contributions regarding accountability standards and mechanisms in these organisations would certainly bring a lot of value for this group.

In order to make sure nothing gets lost, please do submit your input and background documents to the wiki. You might wish to consider to wait until you see what the 4 sub groups have collected and add those points that have not been covered to avoid duplications.

Finally, let us please stress that input is welcome and equally treated regardless whether it comes from a member or a participant. All colleague’s input is much valued and will be considered by the group.

Best regards,
Mathieu & Thomas & Allan

* Malcolm, I believe colleagues would be appropriate to encompass members, as well as participants
