[CCWG-ACCT] GAO meeting request

Dear Co-chairs,

Why is it that we always seem to be unable to find time to discuss things of importance during our numerous and endless calls and meetings? 


I do not see any request for a meeting with the co-chairs (specifically) nor even that the co-chairs have a mandate. Neither of whom, by the way, has much if any experience in dealing with the US Congress and/or its agencies.

This is a very serious engagement and we need to be extremely thoughtful about the approach and its implications. And by we I mean the CCWG-Accountability, not three Co-chairs informing us what they think is ok for us.

And the more I think about it the more I think it is wrong for a Co-chair to meet with the GAO in their personal capacity.

They even said that want to have something ready in July so there is nothing that forces us to be less than deliberate.

If you go ahead over my objections, in the intended haphazard manner, please take note that you do not have consensus and you might even invite individual engagements with the GAO.

And I renew my demand to have the meeting recorded and transcribed, in any case.
