I definitely agree that business class is warranted in this case -
having to chair a session after 24h+ travel in economy class sounds
nightmarish.

But I also see Nigel's point. Perhaps it'd be possible to come up with
a rule, something along the lines that if the shortest available
flight path for the chair of a meeting exceeds, say, 20 hours, it
justifies business class flights.
