[Alac-sc-outreach] [Ext] Clarity on CROP Trips per RALO

HI Benedetta

It certainly is helpful, because I do not recall any real discussion of
CROP in our call. Granted we didn't have the benefit of slides to be able
to get an overview of the discussion as it was taking place, so this did
create some confusion.

But your notes still do not give the RALOs any guidance on how they can
use CROP as opposed to the other funding which Heidi said was $4000 per
RALO.. What is the purpose of each of these different funds, and what is
the difference between them? And, what does the "reduced envelope" for
CROP imply in real terms for outreach travel?

And what constitutes an ICANN meeting event, for example for the APrIGF,
ICANN has contributed significantly to the Fellowship programme to enable
Fellows to come to Vanuatu from around the region. But Save is not actually
going to be there. Is this still considered an ICANN event because it has
sponsored a major activity?

Also, from what I understand CROP was never supposed to be used for travel
outside of a region anyway, so I am not sure why it has been mentioned
several times.

Sorry for all the questions.
Maureen
