Whether we need an official ‘liaison’ and ‘some sort of project to work on together’ I will leave to others to decide, I have no opinion there, but the idea to have someone engage more closely with the NCSG on behalf of the ALAC, especially to avoid misperceptions and miscommunications, and who reports back on this, makes very much sense to me. And I am confident John will do a great job. So thanks for that. 

(I do think it is important that we align our positions here and keep each other in the loop, recently I (too) was approached by several  people from NCSG/NCUC because of a discussion that took place on the NCSC policy list and that John participated in, albeit in his personal capacity.)
