Regardless of substance I am not sure it would be appropriate for the ALAC to make such a public endorsement. It is something we need to look into.

Dear colleagues,

please be so kind to find a follow-up email from the GCSC. So - what do we do next? Suggestions are welcome, ASAP.
Kindest regards,

Dear Olivier,

On behalf of Alexander, I would like to take this opportunity to formally thank you for the support and hospitality shown by ICANN ALAC to the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace in Kobe, Japan.

The Commission held fruitful discussions, made possible in part due to the wonderful organization and assistance of your colleagues. The willingness of ALAC to engage with the GCSC on issues integral to peace and security in cyberspace was very encouraging. The Commission also found this a good opportunity to exchange views on pertinent topics and appreciated having the chance to receive input from the broader Internet governance community. In particular, many Commissioners expressed their appreciation of the valuable input we received on the GCSC norms.

Looking ahead, we would like to see how we can move forward on trying to mobilize support from individual ICANN constituents for the work of the GCSC that is of relevance to them. To that end we want to provide additional links to our work (in particular the Call to Protect the Public Core of the Internet<https://cyberstability.org/research/call-to-protect/>, and the Definition of the Public Core to which the norm applies<https://cyberstability.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Definition-of-the-Public-Core-of-the-Internet.pdf>) and explore if and how it may be possible to have it endorsed.

Our next meeting will take place on 16-17 June, just before EURODIG in The Hague, and are planning to have some Commissioners and possibly also Chairs in Marrakesh for the next ICANN meeting.

We are interested in pursuing all avenues that could result in a potential endorsement by the ALAC community of the public core. We look forward to your thoughts on how this could best be pursued. Should you have any further questions or have any outstanding issues of your own that you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.

With kind regards,
Louk
