[ALT-Plus] [ICANN Community Leaders] Planning for ICANN69 & community feedback on discussion paper for phased return to F2F meetings

Hi Maureen and all,

I recall from the exchanges we had on Skype there being a general
concern the the phased return doesn't really address the challenges of
f2f meetings in a global pandemic: not only do we still gather in a
large crowd, exposing those participating to health risk, but we are
also limiting the remote participation of those outside the region, for
the reasons we've discussed around virtual Cancun and KL (time zones,
internet access, etc). Not sure we have a solution to those challenges
though. Seems we're stuck with virtual meetings? Unless we decide to
quit meetings all together until the new normal brings back f2f as we
had it before the pandemic.

Yes, this is me trying to pick up a conversation.;) Would it make sense
to have this discussion as a Loomio thread? Can we limit the number of
participants to just the ALT Plus?

Thanks!

J.
