[ALT-Plus] REMINDER - ICANN72 Topic Proposals Open through 6 August

Dear Olivier

Staff sent out the announcement to the At-Large Leadership Team to get
their ideas on ICANN Plenary topics
The At-Large ICANN72 Planning committee was included because this is where
the suggestions are to go to be considered for passing on those that the
At-Large planning committee have selected for consideration by the SOAC
ICANN72 Planning committee.At tomorrows meeting , you will be introduced to
a template that will be used for our policy sessions, which is actually
based on the model used for the ICANN Plenary session.
The wiki space is being set up so that any suggestions can be viewed as
they are received.

The urgency for getting this message out was because although we have our
FIRST At-Large ICANN72 Planning Committee tomorrow just as they did for the
last ICANN meeting, the deadline for the plenary suggestions is FRIDAY !!!
We will have less than 48 hours to get any recommendations to the SOAC
Planning Committee

I have asked Heidi to tell Tanzanica that we need at least a week to get
the request out and to enable our community leaders to put forward their
submissions.
Unlike other meeting calls, they are asking that the submissions are made
by the constituencies rather than their getting inundated with random
plenary ideas.

SOAC Chairs have invited other people from their groups into the discussion
about how ICANN meetings will be run, I have included our ALT-Plus team,
which includes our regional leaders. So there is no exclusiveness related
to the distribution of this message. The CPWG would be the primary source
of topics but any recommendations are still to be made on a template and we
had hoped that they would be sent to our planning committee first and then
passed on to Tanzanica. But hardly - if we only have 48 hours.
