Hi Caroline,

Some comments:

Re 1.4 - New gTLDs - geographic names; the Norwegians have been most
active in respect to this. The ccTLD person is Annebeth Lange
(annebeth.lange at uninett.no). She will be worth talking to as she was
previously the Norwegian GAC representative. She will also be able to put
you in touch with their current GAC rep.

Re 2.3 - DNS Cert - SOs and ACs; a) please note that Janis Karklins is no
longer chair of the GAC. The current Chair is Heather Dryden
(Dryden.Heather at ic.gc.ca), b) Given you are going to consult Suzanne Woolf
as a Board member, I'd recommend contacting anther member of the SSAC
(perhaps Steve Crocker) and c) I'd strongly recommend that you talk to at
least one ccTLD manager under this section as the ccs were intimately
involved in the 'controversy'. I'd recommend Lesley Cowley from Nominet
(lesley at nominet.org.uk), Roelof Meijer from SIDN (Roelof.Meijer at sidn.nl)
or Keith Davidson from Internet NZ (keith at internetnz.net.nz).

Re 2.4 - DNS Cert - GAC input; There are a number of GAC reps better
placed to provide the information you seek. I'd suggest liaising swiftly
with Heather Dryden to ascertain the most useful contact however, the UK,
Dutch, Swedish and French GAC reps spring to mind.

Hope this is useful.

Cheers,
