Marilyn,

This will be interesting. 

Normally there are two press conf at an ICANN meeting one after the opening
ceremony and one after the Friday board meeting.

Normally only accredited press can attend.

Normally about 10 – 15 attend. 

Michelle Chaplow of the BC is accredited press (as per the ICANN meeting
registration) and normally attends.

(We land in Prague at 14.30 local time on Fri so it will be tight.)

Anybody wanting breaking news of the new SEO name would  best  follow #ICANN
on twitter.

Announcement to Precede ICANN’s 44th Public Meeting in Czech Capitol

18 June 2012

Board Chairman Dr. Stephen Crocker will introduce the next President and
Chief Executive Officer of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and
Numbers (ICANN) at a news conference on Friday, 22 June in Prague, Czech
Republic.

The announcement has been anticipated since Rod Beckstrom, ICANN's current
President and CEO disclosed last August that he would step down at the end
of his contract, which expires on 1 July.

Dr. Crocker will join Chief Operating Officer Akram Atallah and the next CEO
in answering questions from journalists during the Friday news conference,
which will be webcast live from the Czech capital.

The news conference will take place 2-days prior to ICANN's 44th public
meeting in Prague.
