Subject: FOR REVIEW by 12-Nov: BC comment on charter for NPOC (Not-for-Profit Operational Concerns)
BC members,

Thanks to Arinola and Samuel for drafting the attached BC comment on Amendments to charter<https://itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/generic-names-supporting-organization-council-gnso-council/amended-npoc-charter-09-05-2022-en.pdf> for the NCSG constituency of Not-for-Profit Operational Concerns (link<https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/not-for-profit-operational-concerns-constituency-charter-amendments-04-10-2022>).

The BC has long supported the NPOC having more say in the NCSG, since non-profit domain registrants are concerned about the same things as business registrants (security, preventing DNS abuse and fraud, registrant information, etc.). So we’d want to support amendments that give NPOC more legitimacy and power in the NCSG.

Also, I understand that NPOC borrowed heavily from our own BC charter<https://www.icannbc.org/charter>.

Please review and reply all with edits and questions, before 12-Nov.

Thanks again to Arinola and Samuel.
