It will, of course, cost money, but if ICANN is to bust out of its narrower history of choice, invitation and selection, it might just do the trick. </div><div><br></div><div>I wonder, though, if an interim step might be considered.</div><div><br></div><div>There are a (growing) number of companies and organizations that participate in ICANN right now. These entities have two perquisites. One, they are familiar with ICANN.
