As we finalize our feedbacks to the legal teams on the draft Bylaws, and =
the=20
legal teams are working full steam, the respective groups rightfully star=
t=20
asking questions about the next steps. I read with interest Akram=E2=80=99=

which confirms the previous plan of launching a call for comments on the=20
draft Bylaws on April 20.  I assume this was taking into account the vari=
ous=20
comments from the CWG and CCWG.



In order to avoid any miscommunication when responding to community membe=
rs=20
requests, I believe we would benefit from an update on the overall projec=
t=20
plan, including (and maybe not limited to) :

-          Whether the groups or leaderships will be given an opportunity=
 to=20
review the next version of Bylaws before publication on Apr 20 ?

-          When in the process would the lawyers be in a position to prov=
ide=20
a certification to the groups that the Bylaws accurately reflect the repo=
rts=E2=80=99=20
requirements ?

-          If and when it will be expected from the CWG and CCWG, as well=
 as=20
the operational communities maybe, to issue a formal statement on the Byl=
aws=20
?



Finally, a statement in Akram=E2=80=99s blog struck me as a shift from ou=
r previous=20
discussions. The blog states =E2=80=9CThe Bylaws will only become effecti=
ve upon the=20
successful completion of the transition.=E2=80=9D I was under the impress=
ion in=20
Marrakech that only the subset of Bylaws that are related to the IANA=20
contract expiring would see its effectiveness delayed until the transitio=
n.=20
I would appreciate clarification here whether this intent has changes, an=
d=20
what is the rationale.

deadline, the more critical it is to share up to date information amongst=

ourselves.
