Dear all,

Please find underneath the notes form the informal CCWP HR meeting at
ICANN56.

Thanks to Ellen Strickland for making the notes!

To Do's indicated as ** To Do **

Feel free to add / discuss, all comments welcome. As well as new ideas
and suggestions of course!

Best,

Niels

1. Working methods

Merged from 5 groups to 3 and intensified calls- check in on how it’s going?

Discussed that Group 3 on PDPs not progressing quickly, slow processes
so a weekly call maybe too often. Research group is related to Research
(subgroup 1) so proposed to merge, with one coordinator Vidushi.

Do we want subgroup specific calls or more general calls? Keen to keep
calls focused on subgroup work for now. Discussed timing and schedule of
meeting and proposed 4 weekly rotation:

Week 1: Subgroup 1
Week 2: Subgroup 2
Week 3: General call
Week 4: Week off (Subgroups can meet in this meet as well as needed)

Timing: 0900 UTC would be better for general call. Subgroup 1 also
0900UTC and Subgroup 2 1300UTC. Friday proposed as regular day.

** To Do 1 **: Niels will propose and schedule calls together with Maryam.

2. Evaluation

What to do for Hydrabad: publish bundled work for Hydrabad (report and
visualisation), then something for every two meetings

Inforgraphic- what is it? Discussed whether needs to be reviewed. Ways
to engage with community.

What do we with report? Needs to be put to designer in standard format-
Niels to do.

3. Work stream 2

Niels gave update- going well, working on Framework of Interpretation.
PDP human rights impact assessment discussed versus current trigger
option for rights assessment.

Discussed the need for human rights expertise for rights assessment,
what process could be used for ICANN to assess and engage experts-
** To Do** Rachel Pollack from OII to work on this from August.

4. Work plan

** To Do ** Niels will coordinate making publication for Hyderabad
** To Do ** Niels will add design to Subsequent Procedure Report
** To Do ** Vidushi will work on Social, Cultural and Economic impact of
new gTLDs and create a report
** To Do ** Aarti will create on Human Rights and WHOIS and create a report
** To Do ** Stefania and Niels will work on quantiative analysis of
mailinglists and analysis of human rights
** To Do ** Tatiana and Niels will work a short history of Human Rights
in ICANN
** To Do ** Niels will create new website for icannhumanrights.net,
content should be the same as now, but more accessible.

5. AOB

How to engage best at Policy Forums- be great to have a Cross Community
session on HR at next Policy Forum. Stephanie to talk to ICANN about how
to get a session at next Polcy Forum.

Joint meeting with GAC working group on HR and Intl law 315pm tmrw
Thursday in Veranda 4. Discussed format and approach.

 Meeting closed 1153am
