[ccPDP4-IDNWG] Call for volunteers Sub-Group De-selection of IDNccTLD

Dear all,
As you may recall the de-selection subgroup will be starting its work by mid-September, directly after the full Working group has completed its review and update of the basic policy recommendations.  This sub-group is tasked to define the “trigger event(s)” that will cause the start of the (IDN)ccTLD retirement process. The retirement process itself is out of scope of ccPDP4 and defined as part of ccPDP3. The recommendations of th3e sub-group will be included in the basic draft.

The De-selection working group is expected to meet once every two weeks, alternating with the variant management sub-group meetings. The full working group meetings will be deferred up and until one of the sub-groups has completed its work.

If you are interested, please let Kimberly or Joke know ( email addresses included in the cc) by Friday 3 September 2021.
Please also indicate whether you are interested  in becoming chair and/or vice-chair of this group. With respect to the chair-vice-chair roles: expect one additional meeting to prep for the main sub-group meeting. If two or more people put their name froward as chair and/or vice-chair the chair/vice-chair selection procedure will apply ( see: https://ccnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/field-attached/guidelines-annex-a-22mar21-en.pdf)
