of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs), which together make up the ASO (Address Supporting Organization), one of the CCWG's chartering organizations. The RIRs also make up a layer of the "numbers" (i.e., IP [internet protocol] address) community, one
of the three communities (along with names (that's us) and protocol parameters (IETF)) responding to the RFP on IANA transition.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
