<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">First, ICANN cannot be in the business of creating economic opportunity as a not for profit. Clearly, someone can develop a DNS related business, but that is not an appropriate objective for a not for profit organization.</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">Secondly, this seems to be a little "tipped" toward ICANN only being a technical body, but that is not factual at all. I drafted the part of the bylaws that also referenced necessary policy... </p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">Engagement and informed participation in ICANN, across all of its sub groups, does seem to be fully aligned with the core mission.</p>

<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">I deleted the word "economic", as that will raise red flags with the IRS for a not for profit, if not others,</p>
