Olivier and colleagues

Good morning. Just to note that the 2016 ITU WTSA concluded in good spirit late yesterday evening in Hammermet. The last few days had been intense in agreeing a whole range of Resolutions and other measures.

The full proceedings are at

Of significance was the discussion on the role of the Digital Objects Architecture (DOA) and the numerous proposals to reference it as a potential technology for a range of applications from healthcare to smart cities. At the conclusion yesterday rather than specific references in most Resolutions a general statement was made on the importance of identity management; it was:

The Plenary Recognised that identity management plays an important role in many telecommunication / ICT Services and that it can be implemented using a range of technologies and solutions.

Best

Nigel
