</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-GB link="#0563C1" vlink="#954F72"><div class=WordSection1><p>I am a registrant of several .com domain names. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. <o:p></o:p></p><p>Verisign should not hold a monopoly on managing .com domain names. In fact, monopolies are illegal most places. Why do you allow them to get away with this?<o:p></o:p></p><p>The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. In fact, it should be much cheaper. Verisign should not be making 300% + profits from this monopoly.<o:p></o:p></p><p>ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Not for the benefit of one company’s shareholders.<o:p></o:p></p><p>Prices should be lowered, not raised, on .com domains and other TLDs. The prices are already far too high and there’s no justification to raise them further.<o:p></o:p></p><p>Brad Shaw <br>Costa del Sol, Spain <o:p></o:p></p></div></body></html>
