cost of computing infrastructure drops every year.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This cost increase is not simply passing on increased costs to the user, but instead it is an attempt to mine one momnopoly (.com names) in order to fund new initiatives in other
areas outlined in the proposal. Because these other areas cannot fund themselves, we assume that is because they are not of value to the consumers. It is therefore inappropriate to take funds from the .COM names in order to do these other initiatives that
nobody wants.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A .COM address is a critical resource for small and medium sized businesses, and we should not unfairly burden this critical part of our economy. The cost of a .COM name, should
reflect the cost of that function, and that cost has been going down in all the years since the ICANN was set up.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
