<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">I simply don't understand how ICANN, an organization whose mission is to manage some of the most important aspects of the <b>public</b> internet for the benefit of the <b>public</b>, an organization which claims to work in a "bottom-up, consensus-driven, multi-stakeholder model" can possibly even consider allowing a single entity such as Verisign to raise prices by 7% <i>*every year*.</i></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><i><br></i></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">As others have noted, this may not be a big deal for big companies. It is a VERY big deal for those of us INDIVIDUALS who own a couple of domains and want / need to keep them.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">I strongly urge you to walk away from this HORRIBLE deal for the public that you are supposed to serve.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">jay</div></div>
