<p class="copy-16" style="line-height: 24px; margin: 0px 0px 22px;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">You’ve made these changes in secret, without consulting or incorporating feedback from the ICANN community or Internet users. Although
ICANN has a history of making similar deals behind closed doors, and also of ignoring unified opposition against such action, we are focused on leading the fight against big price increases that will harm .COM domain users (and the Internet as a whole), </span><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">making
.COM domains less accessible and more expensive for everybody.</span></p>
<p class="copy-16" style="line-height: 24px; margin: 0px 0px 22px;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">This will directly attack the democratic access of the internet and owning a domain, all for</span><strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> </strong><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">an
additional $20 million dollars over five years </span><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Verisign agreed to pay ICANN</span><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"> to support it</span><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">s
domain name system initiatives, without any clarity about how ICANN will spend the money, or who will ensure that the funds are properly spent on domain infrastructure.</span></p>
<p class="copy-16" style="line-height: 24px; margin: 0px 0px 22px;">I urge you to change this decision, as like me a lot of .COM domain holders will abandon this domain and we will all lose with this decision, done for a short profit of a small number of people!</p>
