Fair point Julf. It seems to be a unique set of circumstances where ICANN is developing a solution to address legislation and the GAC is holding a line that seems inconsistent with that same legislation. Interesting times ahead.

If the board comes up with an "interim solution", I suppose it is then also up to GAC to decide if they consider it going against GAC advice or not.
