Organisation meeting that GNSO Council Leadership held with ICANN staff in
Amsterdam earlier this year, was to develop an online template to complete the
request for an Issue Report. The objective of this tool is to encourage
requestors to gather as much information as possible and engage in early
discussions with others prior to submitting a request for an Issue Report. The
hope is that by encouraging completion of all the information requested in the
template, it will be possible to identify what information may still be needed
and encourage collaboration between different interested parties at an early
