The objective in talking with Leslie objective was <BR>to come up with a number of areas which are likely to be of mutual <BR>interest and then to find an agreed way for developing and preparing for <BR>these for discussion together. <BR> <BR>We reviewed a number of areas / topics and came out with a non-exclusive <BR>short-list that seemed to be of mutual interest as follows: <BR> <BR>1. Providing input and advice, often at short notice. <BR>A discussion and sharing of the experience of dealing with the various <BR>requests that come to both of our groups in order to provide advice or <BR>input, often at short notice or at unpredictable times, and not linked to <BR>current scheduled work. This discussion topic could include and link into <BR>the broader issue and experience of capacity planning, work group <BR>participation and work scheduling and planning where the ccNSO has some <BR>interesting approaches. <BR>2. The impact of gTLDs on ICANN. <BR>How significant might this be and are existing structures and approaches <BR>adequate to absorb and deal with this? <BR>3. Global Internet Governance. <BR>Looking at issues on an international level and how these may impact on <BR>ICANN and the multi-stakeholder model. Shared experiences from global <BR>forums and the issues and lessons arriving. <BR> <BR>We agreed that organising and preparing for an agenda containing some or <BR>all of the above (or indeed any other relevant topics) was best handled by <BR>a smaller group comprised of members of both GNSO & ccNSO. This type of <BR>approach as worked well for the ccNSO in the past. The group should <BR>comprise a couple of reps from each of GNSO and ccNSO and include the <BR>liaisons (if not already one of the two) so making a manageable small <BR>group of 4-6 people. <BR> <BR>I trust that you will be supportive of this approach or something similar <BR>and look forward to any comments or input.
