<div dir="ltr">Dear Council colleagues,<div><br></div><div>An initiative is underway to support the local community in Puerto Rico through donations of laptops. I only had a brief chat with Glenn McKnight about this, but what little I heard sounded promising, particularly in light of the recent circumstances in Puerto Rico.</div><div><br></div><div>Is this something that we as the GNSO Council would like to pursue further? Or perhaps within SGs/Cs? The host organization .PR and ISOC PR are working on the logistics for selecting the schools and distribution of the laptops</div><div><br></div><div>We are asking folks to remove all their data, reformat the system. Our volunteers will install Linux and other Open Source software </div><div><br></div><div>We spoke with Goran and Nick Tomasso on ICANN support and involvement and perhaps they can coordinate with their communication team supportive information.
