<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Because this is the annual Policy Forum, meeting space is limited, and I’m told the GNSO will have two rooms to accommodate all our policy work. With that in mind, we’ll need to find
a balance for all the Council meetings and PDP meetings.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">We are working to ensure that any High Interest Topic and Cross-Community sessions are actually needed. I am engaging with the other SO/AC leaders and putting a marker down that, in
my view, any such non-conflicted sessions really need to be broadly supported with legitimate interest across the community. This may free up some additional time and meeting space for substantive policy work during the week.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">We submitted the formal request for a Day Zero meeting of the EPDP WG as the 90-day prior deadline requirement was 26 March.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">For future planning, we can ask ICANN for a more detailed accounting comparing the cost of intersessional meetings vs. the cost of adding a day to regular ICANN meetings.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">I think we should seek approval from ICANN for travel support for members of the EPDP team who can’t otherwise attend and where no alternate is available. That should be a relatively
small number, but I’d like a bit more visibility into the number of anticipated travelers in such need before submitting the request.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

requesting travel support for some of the group, so a better understanding of what that travel support would actually be covering would be helpful.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt">As part of these discussions, the EPDP Team is also expected to identify whether any additional resources are needed, beyond the traditional support that is provided to GNSO policy development activities, to meet the milestones
and timeline proposed. The EPDP Team would like to recognize the critical importance of the additional resources provided for phase 1 in facilitating the deliberations and allowing the EPDP Team to deliver a Final Report within the timeframe provided.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The EPDP Team wants to ensure that any specific resource requests are fiscally responsible by demonstrating clear alignment with the work plan and timeline, as such, some additional time will be needed to formulate any such
requests. Nevertheless, there are some immediate resources that the EPDP Team considers crucial in supporting the initial stages of phase 2 and as such we would like to request that the GNSO Council petition the ICANN Board to provide immediate support for
