ISOC will no longer be in the picture. PIR was effectively owned by ISOC and will be sold to Ethos. Presumably the selling price will create the "endowment" that Andrew mentions in the announcement.<br>

With a new owner, it is anyone's guess whether the prior commitment of reasonableness will be upheld.<br>

I'm afraid I don't see the connection to Auction funds.<br>

It does however for those of us still embroiled in the ICANN auction proceeds dilemma, this could add another mechanism to the mix, with Ethos Capital as an external organisation that could work with ICANN and a non-ICANN Org Management Body to manage its projects
and the distribution of its funding. <br>
