Some countries chose to use three letter identifiers, for example Finland with FIN (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Finland" class="">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Finland</a>), Serbia with SRB (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Serbia" class="">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Serbia</a>) etc.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">It is very much possible, given the current situation “anyone can have any TLD” a country like Finland, or Serbia (just to follow my own examples above) decides that they want to have ‘unified’ representation in the world and thus demands .fin and .srb as ccTLDs respectively.
