The case of "срб" (srb) needs some clarification.<br>
<br>
In process of registering .srb TLD in Cyrillic script we had
organized large public consultations in a few phases.<br>
First phase was to collect proposals for Serbian IDN ccTLD, than
after selection of reasonable proposals we organized voting.<br>
<br>
The proposal srb had the most votes, second one was "Србија"
(Srbija).<br>
<br>
Internet community preferred the shorter name.<br>
<br>
At the first glance, I can agree with Annebeth discussion on 3
letter codes.<br>
I have to think a lilltle more abou it.<br>

situation “anyone can have any TLD” a country like Finland, or

want to have ‘unified’ representation in the world and thus
demands .fin and .srb as ccTLDs respectively. In fact, Serbia
already did so for their IDN ccTLD.</div>
