Thanks Josh,

I think time is now of the essence. I believe Greg will send it to the IETF Trust via our IANA IPR mailing list.

Does anyone on the Client Committee have any further comments to the IETF Topics for Discussion? If not is someone from the committee – perhaps Greg -- planning to forward this to the IETF Trust. Sidley has had limited direct engagement thus far, and regardless, I believe the tone may be better for this to come from a committee member.

But let us know if you have any comments or want to handle this differently.

Best regards,

Josh

Thanks Greg! I’ve attached a clean revised draft, and a version showing only the incremental changes from your draft Greg. I accepted all your changes, but eliminated some of the redundant statements for brevity. I agree that we should frame the dispute resolution discussion vis a vis the Community as an affirmative obligation to provide some means of redress for Community grievances (and not as a question).

See attached, and if there are no further comments from the Client Committee, this may be ready for forwarding.

Cheers,

Josh

Dear Client Committee,

Attached is a draft set of topics for discussion with the IETF Trust on Tuesday. Given that we only have one hour for the call, we want to avoid bogging down in “legal” review. As such, we have not included references to specific agreement or principal terms sections in this document; rather we have broken it into two sections, the diligence review, and a discussion of key issues. Our goal would be to see if we can reach alignment on “guiding principles” for the IETF Trusts stewardship of the IP. Then we can provide our markups consistent with those principles.

Please review and provide any comments, with the goal being to get this out on Monday to the IETF Trust.

Thanks!

Josh
