The interim co-chairs – Ms Becky Burr (ccNSO) and Mr John Berard (GNSO) - would like to convene a first meeting of the group on <b>Thursday 22 May at 1500 UTC</b>. A separate notification with all the relevant call in details will be sent, but for now we wanted to get this on your agendas without further delay.</div><div><br></div><div>In preparation for the meeting, please find attached a staff paper that had been prepared for the GNSO Council in November 2013, on the background work that has already been done to date on the topic. The most relevant information for our present purposes can be found in <u>Section III</u>, which summarizes the initial draft principles originally developed by the GNSO in 2012 and the feedback provided on them by the ccNSO in 2013. The full text of both the draft principles and the ccNSO feedback can be found in the Annexes. </div><div><br></div><div>Also attached is a copy of the Charter for this CWG. Even if you are very familiar with GNSO Working Groups and their processes, you are encouraged to review this Charter prior to the call as due to the nature of this CWG the membership and processes detailed in the Charter are not the standard GNSO Working Group ones.</div><div><br></div><div>Bart Boswinkel and I will be the primary policy staff supporting you in this CWG. We hope to circulate an updated staff paper with additional details on the workings and outcomes of previous and current CWGs soon.
