Agree with Seun.  We tried this "fix" on this or some other list a while back and it was a disaster.  It makes it much harder to know who's sending messages and threads look silly and useless when viewed in the mailbox.

SO: I believe this could cause more unintended damage that it solves especially when intending to write PMs. Perhaps Paul could create and subscribe an account that fits (all gmail account does) and then setup a forwarder to his actual account. It's a long route but it at least ensure he receives the mail.
