Have we created a monster?

Seriously though, no one expected this to be a free lunch. This estimate
seems to assume that we would need to start from a blank slate for every
part of the system, and it may very well be possible to use elements from
already existing or developed solutions that can be adapted to this use.
>From what I hear there is already at least one platform in development.
