<p class="MsoNormal">As I mentioned on today’s call, I’d like to make a formal friendly request that we add an agenda item to next week’s call to replace Phase 1 Recommendation 1 Purpose 2.

<p class="MsoNormal">I propose this for a couple reasons: <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">The other two agenda items appear noncontroversial, and I think we can dispose of them quickly with consensus.

<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">We must replace the P1R1P2 Purpose with one that does not conflate ICANN Purposes vs. third party purposes.

<p class="MsoNormal">I hope we all find this language noncontroversial, especially since I recall agreement on this conceptually in Phase 1. With the clarity on third party purposes we have in the Phase 2 Initial Report, I believe the IPC can support this as
concluding our work on ICANN Purposes. <o:p></o:p></p>
