[gnso-improvem-impl-sc] Election/Selection of Chair and Vice Chair for 2015

Dear SCI members,

Per the SCI Charter, each December the SCI has to nominate, select and (if
necessary) elect a Chair and Vice Chair for the following year. Only primary
members of the SCI (i.e. no alternates) are eligible to stand for either
position.  Per the Charter, the Chair and Vice Chair shall serve for a
1-year term with the option to continue for a second 1-year term.

Ron Andruff has served two 1-year terms and thus is term-limited and cannot
continue in the position in 2015. The SCI therefore needs at least one
volunteer/nominee for Chair for 2015.  If there is more than one
nominee/volunteer for Chair, the Charter prescribes how an election will
then be run: https://community.icann.org/x/L4Hg

Cintra Sooknanan will have served served 1 term as Vice Chair as of the end
of 2014 and is eligible to continue for a second 1-year term.   For the
avoidance of doubt, time served as Vice Chair shall not prohibit the Vice
Chair from serving as Chair.  If there is more than one nominee/volunteer
for Vice Chair an election will be run as per the Charter.

Interested SCI members should volunteer or submit nominations for either the
Chair or Vice Chair position.  Please send all candidate nominations
(including self-nominations) to this list not later than Friday, 05
December.
