[Gnso-newgtld-dg] Introduction

Greetings from Gambia!

This is a brief self-introduction, in keeping with the practice on this
list.

I am a former ICANN board member (2008-2011), but more importantly one who
spear-headed an unsuccessful new gTLD application that sought applicant
support from ICANN. In view of that experience, the woeful participation of
developing countries in the current round of new gTLD applications, and the
need to avoid a similar disaster in the future, I am joining this group to
share my opinions with, and learn from you, and help map a sound,
inclusive way forward for next gTLD application rounds.

So I'm looking forward to working with all of you.
