time it would take to establish the criteria and lack of a definition of
what we were actually accrediting (as a 10,000 domain name registry may
not have the same requirements as a 10,000,000 name registry). I do
not recall talking about how it would lead to a lack of diversity, but
that was in 2008 or 2009.<br>

I also remembered you hired Lyman Chapin and Interisle to help study the
issue. I have reached out to him about getting this information but
he told me that everything he had was in ICANN’s possession. Do you
happen to recall where that information Is and whether we can get access
to those materials.<br>

There has been some discussion around an accreditation program for
Registry Service Providers. I started to put down some thoughts on it and
especially on reasons for creating such a program. Those thoughts
developed into the attached paper. For reasons stated in the paper, I
think the discussion about such a program should occur sooner rather than
later - whether it be in this group or some other group.<br>
