[Gnso-ppsai-pdp-wg] Please participate in the doodle poll - PPSAI F2F meeting in Los Angeles on 10 October

Dear All,

As discussed during our meeting today, the GNSO Council recently received
approval to implement a pilot project in FY15 to assess the effect of
face-to-face meeting time with the support of a professional facilitator for
GNSO PDP Working Groups under the FY15 Special Community Requests. Having
looked at the various stages current PDP WGs are in, it was decided that it
would be an ideal moment for the PPSAI WG to benefit from such a meeting in
conjunction with the ICANN meeting in LA (October 2014) in preparation for
the publication of the Initial Report. As such, we are looking to organise a
full day meeting of the PPSAI WG on Friday 10 October in Los Angeles (right
before the start of the ICANN meeting).

As outlined in the attached proposal that was reviewed by the GNSO Council
in London, the idea would be that each GNSO Stakeholder Group (SG) assigns
up to 6 existing WG members to participate in the F2F meeting for whom one
additional hotel night (from Thursday to Friday) will be covered. Note: no
travel funding (i.e. airfare) to attend the meeting is foreseen as part of
this pilot project ­ SGs are expected to identify WG members that are
already funded for their travel through other means. Should a SG decide not
to use all 6 slots, the WG Chairs may decide to allocate the one additional
hotel night to another WG member, taking into account the overall balance of
participants. In addition, the same applies for 6 SO/AC/individual WG member
slots. Additional WG members may attend the meeting in person or via remote
participation, but no additional funding is available to cover the
additional hotel night.

As the ICANN meeting in LA is approaching rapidly, we wanted as a first step
flag this plan to you to allow you to mark your calendars accordingly. To
get an idea whether you would be available to participate (either in person
or remotely), noting that we are aware that for some it may not be possible
yet to provide a definitive answer at this stage, we would like to ask you

We'll be working closely with the chairs on the planning for the meeting and
will provide you with further updates in due course, but for now, please
mark Friday 10 October in your calendars.
