Kiran that a short meeting or two within the usual ICANN
schedule makes sense. Specifically, I think it will reduce
time pressure and will increase attendance since many of us
can’t commit to an extra ICANN day (for expense reasons or
prior obligations, or both). I also have practical concerns
about another all-day meeting. Although others may
disagree, my experience in LA seemed to be that we squeezed
1 hour of work into 8 hours and didn’t really get down to
business until the last hour. Just my 2 cents. I am open
to the views of others, of course.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

understand the benefits, but frankly it’s not possible. If
the group is okay with eliminating voices and viewpoints,

am one of the few people who participated in both the LA F2F
of this WG and the Singapore F2F of the IGO WG.

the meetings were not directly comparable in terms of travel
distance (for me), overall meeting workload intensity, and
personal responsibility (I Co-Chair the IGO WG), it is still
my overall opinion that, if a F2F meeting is appropriate for
PPSAI in June, it will be much better to hold it on the
Friday before the ICANN meeting starts in terms of focus and
productivity.. Participants may be jetlagged but they are
still fresh. By the time the Friday after the meeting
arrives many participants are spent physically and
especially psychologically.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

thought we should also note that it will likely be very
difficult to try to schedule the WG face-to-face meeting
for Thursday 18 June (rather than Friday 19 or Friday 26
June), since that will likely add substantially to the
travel costs for many people who have not been planning
to be in Buenos Aires much before the actual start of
the ICANN meeting or who are not otherwise supported
travelers for the GNSO weekend sessions. As such, we
suggest that the choices for the poll should be limited

While I am in favour of a face to face meeting like we had in LA, I would be opposed to holding it after the main ICANN meeting for a variety of reasons.
After a full week of meetings (many of us have activities scheduled over the weekend prior to the official opening) most of us are exhausted by Thursday and probably wouldn't be mentally or physically at our best for a productive meeting on the Friday.
