I agree with Kiran that adding time may exclude the ability of some
members to be heard during these meetings. From personal experience,
I remember arriving near the end of the Friday meeting in LA and my
ears were ringing when I heard about all the things that had already
"been agreed upon" by the members present. <br>
<br>
OTOH, I appreciate the usefulness of these sessions for substantial
discussions that can go deeper than the weekly one hour calls. <br>
<br>
I therefore support the additional day, but would encourage not to
declare agreement on various contentious issues when some members
have not even had a chance to be heard on these. "Discuss, not
decide!", should be the general sense of this meeting.<br>
<br>
I do not support Kirans other suggestion though, as our weekly
schedules are full enough with ICANN as it stands, and we all have
day jobs (and a private life) too...<br>

the meetings were not directly comparable in terms of travel
distance (for me), overall meeting workload intensity, and
personal responsibility (I Co-Chair the IGO WG), it is still
my overall opinion that, if a F2F meeting is appropriate for
PPSAI in June, it will be much better to hold it on the
Friday before the ICANN meeting starts in terms of focus and
productivity.. Participants may be jetlagged but they are
still fresh. By the time the Friday after the meeting
arrives many participants are spent physically and
especially psychologically.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
