[gnso-rds-pdp-wg] poll Question 4, concept vi

These two also follow Andrew’s rule of being public standards (largely universal as well). As per a comment I made on chat about the e-mail element, for what *roles* are they required? From that, you get “required for XXX contact” (e.g. Legal contact for serving process on address) for one or more roles. From that, the corollary is that for a domain you either have 1) separate contacts for roles with the required data elements for that purpose, or 2) at least one contact (registrant or admin perhaps) that has those required contact elements that is assigned to that role by default. In other words, if it is determined for example, that you need a postal address for legal process and you don’t have a “legal contact” role assigned, then you would need an admin or registrant contact that does have an address in it in order to meet that purpose. Fill in your role needs/date element pairs from there as a separate exercise.

Cheers,

Rod
