<div class="">Following yesterday’s call, I would like to volunteer for the leadership group. I can either chair the working group as an independent expert as I have no affiliation with any particular organisation or stakeholder group. I can also work in
a vice chair role to provide the same independence, objectivity and subject matter expertise. I have, fortunately, the time available to steer this large and complex project and can meet the requirements of a rotated time zone to serve all members of the
group.</div>

I have worked within the ICANN environment since 1999, commencing my work within the ccNSO as an elected board director of .auDA. At that time, I chaired a diverse stakeholder group that devised binding contractual conditions for Australian registrars.</div>

<div class="">3. lead ICANN staff member for the 2006 policy development process for registry contractual terms and conditions which developed modified registry terms and conditions</div>

I am very familiar with all the complex and very complicated issues surrounding the progression from legacy WHOIS requirements to a new RDS. I do not, however, have any preconceived ideas about what policy recommendations may arise from this policy development
process. Balancing the obligations of ICANN contracted parties with the rights and responsibilities of other stakeholders is a delicate balance that will continually evolve. <br class="">

team should not be too big nor too small (max. 4?) and ideally include individuals that have diverse perspectives on this issue as this is expected to facilitate the management of the Working Group. Once confirmed, the leadership team is expected to work out
amongst themselves whether it takes the form of chair-vice-chairs or co-chairs.<o:p class=""></o:p></font></div>
