<b>Next Generation RDS PDP WG Meeting of 9 February 2016<br>

<i>Roll call/ SOI<br>
</i>· Note, observers have
read-only access to the mailing list and do not receive the call details.
If you want to change your status, you can inform the GNSO Secretariat
accordingly.<br><br>
· Members are required to
provide a Statement of Interest in order to participate in the Working
Group.<br><br>
<b>Action item #1: </b>Please complete / update your Statement of
Interest if you have not done so yet. <br><br>
<i>PDP WG Leadership Team:</i>
<ul>
<li>Results of leadership team characteristics poll:

reviewed to inform further WG discussion.<br>
· Following call/chat
discussion, Chuck Gomes approved as Chair by acclamation.<br>
· Four candidates received a
significant number of endorsements through the poll:<br>
Chuck Gomes, Susan Kawaguchi, Michele Neylon, and David Cake.<br>
· To ensure all WG members have
an opportunity to voice support for leadership candidates, the WG agreed
to allow 24 hours for any objections to be raised on the email list.<br>
· If there are no objections
the leadership team will be based on those four leading
candidates.<br><br>
· Chuck and the leadership team
are then asked to meet and organize themselves.<br><br>
<b>Action Item #2: </b>Allow 24 hours for objections to be raised on
email list, both on Chuck as Chair and on confirming the 4 leading
candidates as the WG’s leadership team.<br><br>
<b>Action Item #3:</b> The confirmed leadership team to meet to
self-organize and bring results back to WG. Staff to send Doodle polls
for leadership team’s organization discussion and prep call for next
week’s WG call.<br><br>
<i>Review of WG Membership:<br>
</i>· The WG currently consists
of 136 members<br>
· Refer to membership chart
reflecting the affiliations stated in member’s SOIs<br><br>
· Agreed to review for broad
ICANN community participation and expertise to identify any gaps. For
example, chat comments indicated a need to review SSAC participation.
<br><br>
<b>Action Item #4: </b>Form a small team (including those who volunteered
for leadership) to review the ICANN community participation and expertise
currently present in the WG and recommend where additional outreach may
be needed. <br><br>
<i>RDS Beginner Tutorial:<br>
</i>· The RDS PDP WG Beginner’s
Tutorial is posted at:

· WG members confirmed that the
Beginner’s Tutorial had been helpful<br><br>
<b>Action Item #5:</b> All WG members to review available tutorial
materials and identify any additional needs<br><br>
<i>Outreach to GNSO SG/Cs & ICANN SO/ACs to request early input to
help inform the WG deliberations:<br>
</i>· The WG discussed the need
to request early input from GNSO SG/Cs and ICANN SO/ACs to help inform WG
deliberations, allowing a minimum of 35 days for response<br>
· Noted that the WG will need
to manage outreach over time, following request for early stage
input<br><br>
· Consider having those who
volunteered for the leadership team (and any others who might wish to
help) develop a recommendation on next steps (e.g., timing, method) for
full WG consideration<br><br>
<b>Action Item #6:</b> Volunteers from leadership team to consider next
steps for SG/C and SO/AC outreach at an early stage to provide additional
input to inform WG's deliberations<br><br>
<i>Development of Mind Map to help inform the creation of the work plan
(if time allows):<br>
</i>· An initial RDS PDP WG
Phase 1 Mind Map was introduced by staff<br><br>
· This Mind Map reflects the
Charter and is intended as a tool to help WG members begin thinking about
tasks as input to development of a Work Plan<br><br>
<b>Action Item #7: </b>Staff to distribute first draft Mind Map via email
and on WG wiki, in PDF and MMAP formats:<br>
