Are they though? Most users will not know what whois is or won't
bother to check. As a European, having actual contact information on
an easy to find place on the website itself has pretty much become
the "Gold Standard". It is the law to publish this data on
commercial websites, so there is not actual need for the data in
the whois as well.<br>
