I see what my problem. In the Word version I didn’t notice that the top bar chart was deleted.

On page 30, the two bar charts look the same except for colors of the bars.

Hi Chuck,

Per the recommendation, the GAC-GNSO Consultation Group has completed its work, so it is no longer functioning. See the wiki at: https://community.icann.org/x/phPRAg. The proposed implementation steps are for the GNSO Review WG to consider whether the CG’s recommendations have been implemented and, if so, whether they meet the requirement of recommendation 31, or if more work is needed.

The top chart is a simple graphic showing how the phases overlap. The bottom chart is a suggested Gantt chart showing a more detailed timeline for implementation for each recommendation in phase one and two. Per Wolf-Urich’s suggestion, the colors in both charts match. Green = phase I and orange = phase II. But perhaps this isn’t clear enough and requires additional explanation?

We can make further edits to add clarity to recommendation 31 and on the charts and are open to suggestions.

Thanks so much,

Julie

Regarding Rec. 31, is the ‘GAC-GNSO Consultation Group on GAC Early Engagement in the GNSO Policy Development Process’ is functioning?

What is the difference between the two bar charts on page 30? Shouldn’t a color code legend be provided?

Chuck

Thanks Julie and all for the work done so far.

I don’t have comments with respect how to handle the recommendations.

Regarding the timeline I think corresponding colours should be used in the Gantt chart as for the phases (page 33).

Maybe in the executive summary it is useful to explain as a target that the implementation should be finished appropriate time before the next GNSO review is supposed to be started (which will be in 2019). In addition, I wonder whether it is possible to explain in the summary how we’re going to deal with the budget question (e.g. still under consideration).

Small typo on page 1 para 1: 2x “approved”.

I’m ready to introduce a related motion to the next council meeting.

Best regards

Wolf-Ulrich

Per the highlighted action items below from today’s meeting, please see the attached Final Draft Implementation Plan for your review. The document is provided in redline and clean versions, and in Word and PDF. Please note that the redlines reflect both the changes captured during today’s call, and also further suggested edits by staff for grammar and consistency in the recommendations. Finally, staff has suggested some additional details to be added to the Executive Summary and Overview of Recommendations since the Background has been moved to an Annex.

Action items:

1. Staff will produce a final draft implementation plan and send it to the WG on 15 November (DONE).

2. WG members should provide any final edits or comments on the plan by Friday, 18 November, which staff will incorporate into the final implementation plan.

3. Staff will produce a draft motion for Wolf-Ulrich Knoben to send to the GNSO Council along with the final implementation plan by the document and motion deadline of Monday, 21 November for the 01 December Council meeting.

Please provide any final edits or comments as noted in the actions above by Friday, 18 November. Any edits or comments will be addressed in the final version of the plan that will be sent to the GNSO Council on Monday, 21 November.
