  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):Hello all

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):I think we might wait for 5 minutes more to have
better attendance

  Lori Schulman:Hi Terri

Lori Schulman:Is this doc with consolidated list on th e wiki yet?

Mary Wong:Hi Lori - it was circulated to the Working Group mailing list.

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):2 is fine :)

Lori Schulman:Thanks. I will check my old mail. The volume is starting
to crush me.

Lori Schulman:Is it on the wiki for quick retrieval?

  Susan Payne:hi all

Mary Wong:@Lori, if they are not, we will make sure they are. Thanks!

Lori Schulman:Thanks Mary, it's a little easier to navigate the wiki.

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):someone is stomping on the mic

Amr Elsadr:Kiran has sent apologies for this call.

Lori Schulman:I am happy to volunteer

  Philip Corwin:Good morning all

  Susan Payne:Support Lori

  Lori Schulman:Hi Phil

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):+1 for Lori

  Mary Wong:Thanks, Lori!

Susan Payne:I'd favour running through them yes

  J. Scott Evans:I cannot see the entire list of questions in Adobe Connect.
I only see about 3/4 of a page

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):@Amr, is it possible to make middle part of the
screen wider? (by making left pad and right pad smaller?

  J. Scott Evans:i fixed it

Philip Corwin:Yes, hour call on a weekly basis for 2-3 weeks to complete
task.

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):+1 hour weekly (3 weeks) looks fine

Mary Wong:The full WG has to review the proposed list of refined
questions, and decide whether the Sub teams continue on.

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):@Amr thanks

  J. Scott Evans:yes

Mary Wong:The Work Plan will need to be updated with the various Sub
Teams' suggestions - staff will monitor that and will let you all know if we
see any potential problems.

Amr Elsadr:@Maxim: You should have control of the document on the screen,
so can scroll up/down and zoom in/out.

Martin Silva Valent:I think this is a relevant question, don't see a
consolidation chance here.

Martin Silva Valent:We should try to explain further Premium Names to the
WG, or add the need for a intro on that.

Susan Payne:I think the issue for premuim names is around setting of
pricing which effectively circumvents the sunrise and how do you address
that as a brand owner if you have no route of oibjection

  Griffin Barnett:+1 Susan

Martin Silva Valent:+1 Susan, if they use pricing to bomb the sunrise
system, on the other hand, are going to get into pricing?

Martin Silva Valent:a lot of trademarks are also generic names, is a
blurry lines sometines, so premium names often fall in that blurry line

  J. Scott Evans:agree

  J. Scott Evans:on consolidation

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):Brand owners are not the only party with "special
rights" in accordance to Sunrise, GEO TLDs need to deliver domains for
public services/streets/monuments e.t.c. to the Municipal Entity of the
City... for example

  Griffin Barnett:@MAxim - that's what ALPs/QLPs are for, no?

  J. Scott Evans:maxim is really hard to hear. Can he also make his points
in the chat.

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):ok

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):will type

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):poor connectivity

  Martin Silva Valent:+1 Maxim

  J. Scott Evans:correct

  J. Scott Evans:Also correct

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):I think we might consolidate into three bunches :
related to Reserved lists, related to TMs and TMCH during sunrise, and about
processes during sunrise and not relevant to first and secodn bunch

Terri Agnew:hearing typing again, please remember to mute

  Susan Payne:yep, bunch by theme

  J. Scott Evans:agree

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):a Note: Due to quite poor design of the ALP (the only
GEO who tried to use ALP . MADRID is still not launched), GEO TLDs had to
use Reserved lists to deliver names to Mayor's offices of cities/local
governments (and for a big city, 100 names is nothing). as it was underlined
in one of GAC Communiques - .POLICE needs to be delivered to the Public
Safety Agency in case of cities

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):adding to that: my thinking is , if Claims are
available, the release of the Reserved name is not as bad, as when it is not
available (so the TM owner is notified)

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):NOTE: I reached to geoTLDs and requested their
comments on QLP, ALP (those instruments are highly relevant to them and
quite important), and hope to have their text by the next call

Mary Wong:Do we have a common understanding (definition) of what is a
premium name?

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):one of the historical reasons for lots of well known
names to be stuck in reserved lists - Name Collisions

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):I do not think so , premium names is a marketing
term, and definition vary from legal body to legal body

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:Agree with that

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:Lori, love the idea of a
footnote or note. I just know how long redrafting took.

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):I think if we highly regulate "premium names" we
might face swarm of terms like "golden name" , "titanium... diamond ...
e.t.c. and I do not see how to regulate marketing ideas"

Susan Payne:I agree too - redrafting wasn't a terribly effective use of
time last time and ended up being pretty contentious and also tended to veer
into a substantive discussion of the underlying issue

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):one suggestion: to define idea of Premiums - we
might need to analyze how many TLDs used it in their applications

  J. Scott Evans:I think the fact we are not having any objections should be
accepted as the right to move forward

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):in financial models (no additional info, just
yes/no)

  J. Scott Evans:great idea!!

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):are we against Google docs sheets ?

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):ok - consolidation is fine ( and spreadsheets work
fine for RySG in in situation where we need to add few comments and to
understand who wrote what , andfor what reason)

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):and sending offline copy to the list

Amr Elsadr:Google Docs also allow for comments on text, similar to MS
Word. Question on accessibility is limited to China, if I'm not mistaken.

  J. Scott Evans:I would suggest that Lori's consolidated document be the
Google Doc

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:Google docs is fine

  Susan Payne:+1

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):like 1 sheet with this text we see now and other
sheet with : question: answer: author: comment or something like it

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):I meant two TAB in the same Google Sheet

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):where others (not editors , have right only to
comment - so the work of the person who is editor is not spoiled

  Mary Wong:LOL Lori :)

  J. Scott Evans:It

  J. Scott Evans:is Easter. You should wash her feet

  Mary Wong:OMG people!!!

  Mary Wong:(and I'm Catholic too :))

  J. Scott Evans:I want that information.

  J. Scott Evans:I think in would inform our next call.

Susan Payne:yes I agree it is useful

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:Perfect, thanks, and I'm sorry
I missed that

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):I am afraid the time is not good for feedback - lots
of active participants of community are on the leave :(

Mary Wong:@Maxim do you mean the 5 days?

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):weekend and last few days (I asked for info few
days ago and not much in terms of answers, but I hope it will be ok by 18th
apr)

Philip Corwin:I'm not sure it makes sense to research where a Charter
question came from. What's more relevant is the level of interest it merits
within the WG.

Mary Wong:We'll do what we can and you all can let us know if it's useful

  J. Scott Evans:Do we want to take the 90-minute time slot next Wednesday

Susan Payne:already on my easter holiday here :) living the dream

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):could we run doodle poll

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):?

Mary Wong:yeah, end-April for both CCT and Budget (among other open
comment periods)

  Susan Payne:+1 Lori

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:I'm open.

  J. Scott Evans:Can your repeat?

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):which timeslot on Wed?

  Mary Wong:1600 UTC Weds

  J. Scott Evans:+1

  Mary Wong:Or 1400 UTC Fri

  Griffin Barnett:Agree w Friday

  Matt Mlsna:+1 friday

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):16.00 is overlap with RySG call

Mary Wong:We'll confirm via mailing list for Friday, for absent members

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):friday is way better

  Mary Wong:OK Lori

  Mary Wong:90 minutes or 60?

  Griffin Barnett:60

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):same time prefferably, and 60 (90 not sure)

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:60 we're a small group

  Matt Mlsna:60

Susan Payne:60. I would have to go on another call at that point anyway

Martin Silva Valent:60 is ok I think

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:If we all do our homework...

Susan Payne:as would you I think Lori :)

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):60 and +30 if we need is fine

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):and more homework if we do not do it in the calss

Mary Wong:Can we say aim for initial comments on the questions by Weds,
and document prepped and circualted by staff before Fri?

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:LOL Maxim

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:Great idea Mary

  J. Scott Evans:+1

  Susan Payne:excellent

  J. Scott Evans:ciao

Kristine Dorrain - Amazon Registry Services:thanks Lori, you're great!

  Susan Payne:Thank you Lori!

Philip Corwin:Good work today. happy holidays and have a great weekend

  Griffin Barnett:Thanks

Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):@Mary, could you send us a letter with calendar
event attached? about fri

  Martin Silva Valent:bb

  Amr Elsadr:Thanks all. Bye.

  Maxim Alzoba (FAITID):bye all

  Mary Wong:@Maxim yes

  Lori Schulman:ciao

  Mary Wong:Thanks Lori and all!
