[Gnso-rpm-tmch] Reminder of Action Items - and prep for next Sub Team call

Dear all,

Please note that, with regard to a call between The Analysis Group and our Sub Team, I’m informed that Greg Rafert (who is leading the TMCH Independent Review) is out this week. However, he has blocked his calendar for a possible call with our Sub Team next Friday 29 July at 1500 UTC. Hopefully this will allow us to use this week’s call to complete our review of the background material (see Action Item #2, below) as well as to discuss what topics/questions we would like Greg and his team to address with us (see Action Item #3, below).

As such, staff will go ahead and schedule the next TMCH Sub Team call for this Friday 22 July, at 1500 UTC for 60 minutes. Unless the Sub Team directs us otherwise, we will presume that the agenda for this call will be to go through the Sub Team Action Items list (below), with a view toward next steps and meeting with The Analysis Group.

Subject: Action items/follow up from first TMCH Sub Team call

Dear TMCH Sub Team members,

The following are the action items noted by staff from the Sub Team call held earlier today.

FOR SUB TEAM MEMBERS:

1.      Consider whether or not a Chair of the Sub Team is needed – if you wish, please submit your nomination for a Chair to this mailing list before the next Sub Team call (to be scheduled for next Friday).


2.      Review the slides and transcript from the TMCH Review session at ICANN56 in Marrakech: https://meetings.icann.org/en/marrakech55/schedule/thu-tmch-review (under “Materials”). For those not on the call today, this Marrakech session included a presentation on the scope and methodology for the ongoing TMCH Independent Review being conducted by The Analysis Group for ICANN. The Sub Team members who attended the call today agreed that we should invite The Analysis Group to our next Sub Team call, to discuss their data collection methods and challenges, and to figure out what gaps might exist as between their work and ours. As such, it was agreed that it would be helpful to have the Sub Team review the Marrakech materials ahead of the call.


3.      Continue discussions on this mailing list to agree on topics and questions to be discussed with The Analysis Group.


4.      Review the scoping document to comment or add to the initial list of data sources and types.

FOR STAFF:

1.      Contact The Analysis Group with an invitation to the next Sub Team call (IN PROCESS)


2.      Forward the Sub Team scoping document to the full Working Group and invite input (COMPLETED)


3.      Schedule the next Sub Team call for Friday 22 July, 1500 UTC, for 90 minutes (IN PROCESS)

Subject: Scoping document for discussion by the TMCH Sub Team

Dear TMCH Sub Team members,

Staff thought it might be useful to have an initial scoping document to facilitate discussions on our initial organizational call today. Please find attached a short document, which contains the following:

(1)  the Working Group Charter questions concerning the TMCH (provided for purposes of framing the data collection that our Sub Team will be doing);
(2) some initial suggestions for data sources and types of data we might wish to seek; and
(3) existing data sources that ICANN staff used for the RPM Review Paper that was one of the background source documents for this PDP.

We expect that the Sub Team work will focus on (2), but hope that the other sections and contents provide useful guidance and information. We will have the document up in the Adobe Connect room today as well.
