Hi All,

I will just add that the FY18 budget comments submitted last year by the GNSO Council and the CCNSO did contain some similarities.  However, the CCNSO comments were more extensive across many sections of the draft budget documents.  I’d note for the CCNSO that the GNSO Council comments will be limited only to the Council’s remit of managing the policy development process and any comments submitted by the Council are intended to not conflict with the stakeholder groups and constituencies within the GNSO that also submit comments on their behalf.

I will defer to the Council leadership and the SCBO as to whether formalize the liaison process, but at a minimum, I could foresee the SCBO collaborating on drafts of comments prior to submission, especially where similarities might occur in future budget cycles.

Many thanks for your email below reaching out in relation to the GNSO's newly formed Standing Committee on Budget and Operations (SCBO). 

As GNSO Council Chair I am an observer/ex officio member of the SCBO, and in that capacity am very pleased to share, via this email, your thoughts about a liaison with the broader SCBO membership. My initial reaction is that this might be something that can be addressed within the existing liaison framework (ie, GNSO Council liaison to the ccNSO and vice versa) rather than create specific liaisons, but perhaps the group may have other thoughts, which I welcome them to raise!
